Teachers and Headmasters in Makasar Educated About Coronavirus

Around 100 teachers and headmasters were educated about coronavirus at Makasar Sub-district Office's Hall, East Jakarta, Wednesday (3/11).

The point is, socialization and education is important to reduce panic in the community

Makasar Sub-district Deputy Head, Sudirman conveyed, this socialization was done to follow up Jakarta Governor Instruction (Ingub) No. 16/2020 about Increasing Awareness of Risk of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Transmission.

"It is our response towards coronavirus outbreak, especially in education. Thank you for East Jakarta Health Sub-department that has supported this event fully," he expressed.

Through this socialization, his side expects the participants can share the information to the communities. Besides, his side asked the socialization result to be informed to RT/RW levels.

East Jakarta Health Sub-department's Disease Handling and Prevention Section Head, Komarunisa stated, in this socialization her side educated and encouraged all teachers and headmasters to prevent coronavirus transmission.

"The point is, socialization and education is important to reduce panic in the community. Importantly, we need to know the symptoms and how it spreads. We also promote clean and healthy lifestyle by washing hand thoroughly with soap  before and after activities," she explained.
